A conference was held at the Basra Oil Company on September 22, 2021 in the presence of Empire Fuel Industries Limited, PJSC “GTL” Company, the Basra Oil Company and the Basra Gas Company.
Negotiations took place to get rid of the environmental pollution resulting from the burning of associated gas in the province of Basra, and the fields affiliated with the Iraqi Oil Ministry were visited to reach the optimal solutions.
Empire Fuel Industries Limited CEO, Eng. Hamza Al-Rubaie suggested optimal solutions by exploiting the burning gas and converting it into oil products by establishing a gas refining complex with a capacity of 100,000 ton/year, which in turn would provide hard currency for the Iraqi Ministry of Oil and end environmental pollution.
